사진책 『감각이상 Abnormal Sense』
〈감각이상〉은 김효연이 히로시마에 원자폭탄이 투하된 지 75여 년이 지난 오늘날 그곳에 있던 한국인 원폭 피해자, 그리고 그들의 2세에서 4세대의 삶에 주목한 사진 연작이다. 당시 히로시마에 살다 원폭 투하 직전에 한국으로 이주한 작가의 외할머니 이야기에서부터 시작된 이 연작은 오랜 사전 조사와 인터뷰 및 촬영을 거쳐 완성되었다.
작가는 단순히 지나간 과거를 전달하고 증명함을 넘어, 과거의 아픔이 오늘로 이어져 영향을 받고 있는 개인의 현재의 모습을 보여주고자 그들의 평범한 일상을 카메라에 담았다. 70여 점의 사진과 함께 장혜령 소설가의 단편 소설 「화자의 하나코」, 신혜영 비평가의 글 「기억과 망각의 두려움에 맞서는 사진」을 수록하여 작업에 대한 이해를 돕는다.
아카이브 자료집 『“063096” Location Note』
아카이브 자료집에는 김효연 작가가 3여 년 동안 수집한 대부분의 일반인들은 열람이 불가능한 원폭 피해 관련 자료들과 히로시마 폭심지 마킹 작업 〈“063096” Location Note〉을 수록했다.
<Abnormal Sense> is a photograph series that focuses on the lives of Korean victims to the Hiroshima atomic bombing and their 2th to 4th generations, about 75 years since the disaster.
Book set consists of two volumes: the photo book and the archive material book. The photo book contains about 70 color photos, as well as the short novel “Hwaja’s Hanako” by Herrion Jang and “Photography Standing Against the Fear of Memory and Oblivion ” by critic Hyeyoung Shin to help a wider understanding of the work. In particular, the short novel “Hwaja’s Hanako” was written for the photo book. The photographer and writer collaborated to complete it over 6 months.
Archive material book 『”063096″ Location Note』
The archive book contains materials related to the atomic bomb damage and personal photos of the victims collected by Hyoyeon Kim for more than three years, and the <“063096” Location Note> marking work on Hiroshima’s military map.

장혜령 소설가
1984년 서울에서 출생했다. 한국예술종합학교에서 영화 연출을 공부했다. 2017년 『문학동네』 신인상을 받으며, 작품을 발표하기 시작했다.
산문집 『사랑의 잔상들』, 소설 『진주』, 시집 『발이 없는 나의 여인은 노래한다』를 써냈다. 앞으로도 특정 장르에 속하기보다 새로운 공간을 개척하는 글을 쓰고자 한다.
Herrion Jang, Writter
Jang was born in Seoul, 1984. She studied film production at the Korea National University of Arts. She wrote the collection of prose,『Afterimage of Love』, the novel 『Jinju』, and the collection of poems 『My lady without feet sings』. She would like to write a text to pioneer a new space continuously, rather than belonging to a specific genre.
신혜영 비평가
동시대 미술에 관한 강의와 평론을 하고 있다. 박사논문 『한국 미술생산장의 구조 변동과 행위자 전략 연구』(연세대 커뮤니케이션대학원, 2017)를 비롯해, 예술과 사회의 관련성 아래 다양한 예술 실천과 문화 현상에 관한 연구와 비평을 진행 중이다. 번역서로 『사진이론: 사진 해석을 둘러싼 논쟁과 실천의 역사』(공역, 2016), 저서로 『장치에 맞서다: 한국 동시대 사진 비평』(2021)이 있다.
Hyeyoung Shin, Art Critic
Shin is giving lectures and reviews on contemporary art. She is conducting research and criticism on various art practices and culturalphenomena are being conducted under the relationship between art and society, including the doctoral thesis “Structure Change and Actor Strategy Study of Korean Art Production Plant” (Yonsei University Graduate School of Communication, 2017). Her book is “Against the Device: Korean Contemporary Photography Criticism” (2021), and as translations, there is “Photo Theory: A History of Debate and Practice Over Photo Interpretation” (2016).
